ā Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is the random picker really fair?
Yes. This tool uses the browser's crypto.getRandomValues() API to generate cryptographically secure random numbers. It guarantees much higher randomness than the typical Math.random(), and every draw is processed on the client so there is no possibility of external tampering.
Do I need to sign up or log in?
No. This is a 100% free tool that anyone can use immediately without signing up. We do not collect personal information, and your pick history is stored only in your own browser.
How do I use the team divider?
On the Team Divider tab, enter the participant list and specify the number of teams. Members will be evenly and randomly distributed automatically. It is great for company workshops, classroom group assignments, and sports team formation.
Can I save the result as an image?
Yes. Each result screen has a "Save as PNG" button so you can download the result as an image. Use it to share in group chats and social media.
How many people can play the ladder game?
Up to 10 people can participate at the same time. The number of participants and rewards must match. After generating the ladder, click the "Run" button to see the result with an animation.
Where is my pick history stored?
History is stored in your browser's localStorage. It is never sent to a server, and it is permanently removed when you clear your browser cache or click the "Clear History" button.
Can I allow duplicates in number picking?
Yes. Toggle on the "Allow Duplicates" option on the Number tab and the same number can be drawn multiple times. The default is unique (no duplicates).
Can I add my own lunch menu items?
Yes. Use the "Edit Menu" button on the Lunch tab to add or remove custom items. In addition to the 80 default items, you can register any menu you like.
Does it work well on mobile?
Yes. The responsive design works perfectly on smartphones and tablets. You can use it instantly in meeting rooms, classrooms, or while you're out.
Is dark mode supported?
Yes. Use the moon-shaped toggle button at the top right or the shortcut key D to switch between light and dark themes. It helps reduce eye strain at night.
